A June 2026 regional jail disruption led to the transfer of inmates while the site was secured and assessed. Older custody information may therefore point to a location that is no longer current. Call 252-794-9283 before stating that a person remains housed there, arranging a visit, mailing an item, sending funds, or requesting a pickup. No official public visitation scheduler, deposit vendor, telephone vendor, mail format, or restored operating plan was found in the research.
Note: A transfer changes custody location, but it does not move the arresting agency's original incident or arrest report.
Recent Arrests and Booking Logs
No official Bertie County public booking log, daily arrest list, searchable roster, sheriff app, or booking-photo gallery was located. Do not replace that gap with a private mugshot site. For a recent arrest, call the regional jail to ask about present custody or transfer, then contact the arresting agency for its report. Bertie Correctional Institution is an NCDAC state prison located in the county. It is distinct from the Bertie-Martin Regional Jail. A person incarcerated at the state facility may have been convicted in any North Carolina county, so the prison's Bertie address does not prove a Bertie County arrest or prosecution. Likewise, a recent county arrest does not imply placement at the state prison.
